Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about flower pressing workshops and keepsake art
Which flowers press best for beginners?
Start with flat, low-moisture species like pansies, cosmos, and fern fronds. Bulky blooms like roses need petal splitting and are better after you learn paper changes.
How long does pressing take?
Most thin petals dry within 1–2 weeks with two paper changes. Thick petals can take 3–4 weeks. We encourage keeping a humidity log for best results.
Do I need special paper?
Use clean, neutral pH blotting paper or coffee filters. Avoid printed or colored sheets that may transfer dye to your specimens.
What does “archival” mean here?
We use processes and materials that slow deterioration, like acid-free papers and UV-aware framing. We teach what improves longevity.
Can you press my wedding bouquet?
Yes. Reach out via our contact form with your date and flower list. We’ll share preparation steps so blooms arrive in the best condition.
What if I miss a workshop session?
We provide a detailed recap guide and optional reschedule when seats allow. See Terms for full policy details.
Do you ship kits internationally?
We currently ship within the U.S. and Canada. For other regions, contact us and we’ll check options and lead times.
How do I care for pressed pieces?
Keep them in dry, indirect light. Use UV-filtering glass if possible. Avoid bathrooms and kitchens where humidity fluctuates.
